More Detailed Aftercare for Your Treatments at Lounge Luna

At Lounge Luna, I believe that aftercare is just as important as the treatment itself.  Some treatments are only 20% appointment and 80% home.

 

To ensure you get the best results and maintain your beauty, here are some basic tailored aftercare tips for each of the services I offer:

Facials

💆 Chemical Peel Aftercare
   •    Avoid sun exposure for at least 7 days; use SPF 30+ daily.
   •    Do not pick or peel flaking skin – let it shed naturally.
   •    Avoid heat and sweating (hot showers, saunas, exercise) for 48 hours.
   •    Moisturise regularly to soothe dryness and tightness.
   •    Use gentle skincare only – avoid acids, retinols, scrubs for 5–7 days.

Micro-needling Aftercare
   •    No makeup for 24 hours.
   •    Avoid touching your face and keep hands clean.
   •    Avoid direct sun, pools, saunas, and sweat for 48–72 hours.
   •    Use only gentle, hydrating products – no actives for 3–5 days.
   •    SPF 50 is a must daily for at least a week.

💧 Hydro Facial Aftercare
   •    Do not wash your face for 6 hours after treatment.
   •    Avoid exfoliants and active ingredients (retinol, AHA, BHA) for 2 days.
   •    Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water.
   •    Apply SPF 30+ daily to maintain results.

🌟 Microdermabrasion Aftercare
   •    Keep skin hydrated with a gentle moisturiser.
   •    Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 7 days.
   •    Do not use harsh products (scrubs, acids, retinol) for 5–7 days.
   •    Use SPF daily – your skin is more sensitive to UV.

🔪 Dermaplane Aftercare
   •    Do not touch face excessively to avoid bacteria transfer.
   •    Avoid makeup for 12–24 hours post-treatment.
   •    Hydrate and protect – apply moisturiser and SPF 30+ daily.
   •    No exfoliation for 3–5 days.

🔴 LED Light Therapy Aftercare
   •    No downtime needed, but for best results:
   •    Keep skin hydrated and clean.
   •    Avoid strong actives (e.g., retinol) immediately after session.
   •    Follow a consistent skincare routine and use SPF daily.

 

Brows

🌟 HD Brows Aftercare
   •    Avoid getting brows wet for 24 hours.
   •    No makeup on brows for 24 hours.
   •    Do not touch or pick the area – it can cause irritation or infection.
   •    Avoid heat (saunas, steam, sunbeds) for 48 hours.
   •    Use a brow conditioner to keep hairs healthy between appointments.

Brow Lamination Aftercare
   •    Keep brows dry for 24 hours – no water, steam, or sweat.
   •    Avoid sleeping on your face the first night.
   •    Brush brows daily with a spoolie to keep them in place.
   •    Apply nourishing oil or brow serum to condition the hairs.
   •    Avoid makeup and harsh products around the brow area for 24–48 hours.

💛 The Brow Aftercare

    •    Keep the area dry for at least 24 hours.
   •    Avoid heat, steam, sun exposure, and exercise for 24 hours.
   •    Do not apply makeup or skincare near the area for a day.
   •    Avoid exfoliating or active products around the treated area for 48 hours.
   •    Use gentle products only and apply SPF if exposed to sun.

Lashes

👁️ Lash Lift & Tint (LVL) Aftercare

    •    Keep lashes completely dry for 24–48 hours.
   •    No mascara or eye makeup for 24–48 hours.
   •    Avoid steam, swimming, and heat (including cooking steam) for 48 hours.
   •    Do not rub or sleep on your lashes.
   •    Use a lash conditioner or nourishing serum daily to maintain results.

💖 Lash Extensions Aftercare
   •    Do not get lashes wet for 24 hours.
   •    Avoid oil-based products, especially around the eyes.
   •    No rubbing, picking, or sleeping face down – this causes fall-out.
   •    Clean lashes daily with a lash-safe cleanser to avoid build-up.
   •    Avoid mascara and lash curlers – they can damage the extensions.
   •    Brush with a clean spoolie to keep lashes neat.

Body Contouring

🔊 Ultrasound Cavitation Aftercare
Goal: Support your body in flushing out released fat and toxins.
✅ Do:
   •    Drink 2–3 litres of water per day for at least 3 days post-treatment to support lymphatic drainage.
   •    Eat clean – stick to a low-carb, low-fat, high-protein diet to aid fat elimination.
   •    Light exercise (e.g. walking or rebounding) within 4–6 hours post-treatment helps stimulate lymphatic flow.
   •    Massage the area gently to support circulation and drainage.
   •    Continue sessions as recommended (usually 6–10) for best results.
❌ Avoid for 48–72 hours:
   •    Alcohol, caffeine, and carbonated drinks – they stress the liver.
   •    Heavy meals, especially fatty or sugary foods.
   •    Saunas, steam rooms, and hot baths.
   •    Applying strong creams or treatments on the area.

High-Frequency Radio Frequency (RF) Aftercare
Goal: Support collagen production and skin tightening post-treatment.
✅ Do:
   •    Hydrate well – drink plenty of water to help skin healing and detoxification.
   •    Apply soothing, hydrating moisturiser (aloe vera, hyaluronic acid recommended).
   •    Use SPF 30+ daily – skin may be more sensitive to sunlight.
   •    Gentle skincare only for 48 hours – avoid retinols, acids, or peels.
   •    Follow your treatment plan for the best firming and toning effect.
❌ Avoid for 24–48 hours:
   •    Makeup or active ingredients on the treated area.
   •    Direct sun exposure or tanning beds.
   •    Saunas, steam rooms, hot showers or baths.
   •    Excessive exercise and sweating.
