The Lounge Luna Aftercare Guide

“Your treatment is 20% appointment and 80% home care.
To ensure you get the best results and maintain your beauty, please follow these detailed, tailored aftercare instructions for your specific service.


Nails

  • The 24-Hour Rule: Avoid soaking your nails in water for at least 24 hours after your treatment to allow the polish or gel to fully set.

  • Daily Hydration: Moisturise your cuticles and nails daily with oil to prevent dryness and peeling.

  • Chemical Protection: Avoid harsh chemicals or cleaning products for a few days. Always wear gloves for household chores.

  • No Picking: If you have gel nails, strictly avoid picking or peeling them. This prevents thin, damaged natural nails.

  • Maintenance: Do not use your nails as tools (opening cans, etc.). Keep regular appointments to maintain nail health and structure.

     

Advanced Facials
General Facial Advice: Avoid heavy makeup for 24 hours. Hydrate with a gentle moisturiser and drink plenty of water. Avoid exfoliating for a few days.

  • Chemical Peels: Avoid sun for 7 days (use SPF 30+). Do not pick or peel flaking skin—let it shed naturally. Avoid heat and sweating (saunas, exercise) for 48 hours. Use gentle skincare only—no acids or retinols for 5–7 days.

  • Micro-needling: No makeup for 24 hours. Keep hands clean and avoid touching your face. Avoid pools, saunas, and sweat for 48–72 hours. SPF 50 is a must daily for at least a week. Minimise skincare, use recommended. Avoid active ingredients (Retinol, AHA, BHA) for 5 days, slowly reintroduce.

  • Hydro Facial: Do not wash your face for 6 hours. Avoid active ingredients (Retinol, AHA, BHA) for 2 days.

  • Dermaplaning: Avoid excessive touching to prevent bacteria transfer. No makeup for 12–24 hours. No exfoliation for 3–5 days.

  • Microdermabrasion: Keep skin hydrated. Avoid sun/tanning beds for 7 days. No harsh products (scrubs/acids) for 5–7 days.

  • LED Light Therapy: No downtime, but stay hydrated and avoid strong actives immediately after your session.



Lashes
Lash Lift & Tint (LVL)

  • Keep Dry: Keep lashes completely dry for 24–48 hours.

  • Avoid Heat: Stay away from steam, swimming, and heat (including cooking steam from the oven or kettle) for 48 hours, otherwise the lift may "frazzle" or drop.

  • Cosmetics: No mascara or eye makeup for 24–48 hours.

  • Care: Do not rub your eyes. Use a lash conditioner or nourishing serum daily to maintain the health of the lift.
     

Lash Extensions

  • The 24-Hour Bond: Do not get lashes wet for the first 24 hours while the adhesive cures.

  • Oil-Free Only: Avoid all oil-based products around the eyes, as oil breaks down the lash glue.

  • Sleeping & Touching: No rubbing, picking, or sleeping face-down—this causes premature fall-out.

  • Cleaning: Clean lashes daily with a specific lash-safe cleanser to avoid dirt or makeup buildup.

  • Maintenance: Avoid mascara and manual lash curlers. Brush daily with a clean spoolie to keep them neat and fluffy.



Brows
HD Brows & Shaping

  • Stay Dry: Avoid getting brows wet or applying makeup to the area for 24 hours.

  • Irritation: Do not touch or pick the area to prevent infection. Avoid heat (saunas/sunbeds) for 48 hours.

  • Moisturise: Use a gentle, hydrating product like castor oil to keep the skin calm and nourished.


Brow Lamination

  • The 24-Hour Rule: Keep brows dry—no water, steam, or sweat. (Schedule gym activities for a different day.)

  • Sleeping: Avoid sleeping on your face the first night.

  • Prevent Frizz: Avoid heat and steam for 48 hours to ensure the lamination sets properly and doesn't "frazzle."

  • Grooming: Brush brows daily with a spoolie and apply a nourishing oil or serum to condition the hairs.


    Body & Wellness- Supporting your body through recovery and detoxification.
    Body Contouring (Cavitation & RF)

  • Hydration is Key: Drink 2–3 litres of water daily for 3 days post-treatment to flush out toxins and fat cells.

  • Diet & Lifestyle: Stick to a low-carb, low-fat diet for 72 hours. Avoid alcohol and caffeine as they stress the liver during detoxification.

  • Movement: Light exercise (like walking) within 6 hours helps stimulate lymphatic flow.

    Waxing & Body Treatments

  • Waxing: Avoid hot showers, saunas, and friction (tight clothing) for 24 hours. Do not exfoliate for 48 hours.
     

  • Ear Candling: Keep ears dry for 24 hours and avoid inserting cotton buds. Drink plenty of water.
     

  • Back Facials: Avoid the gym and tight clothing for 48 hours to prevent irritation or breakouts. Drink lots of water to help flush the skin.


    Makeup

  • Longevity: Avoid touching your face throughout the day to prevent smudging or transferring.

  • Removal: Always cleanse your face thoroughly before bedtime to prevent clogged pores.

  • Skin Health: Use gentle makeup removers to avoid irritation, especially if new professional products were used on your skin.
